Perfect spring afternoon

Ben was climbing the tree.

Therefore, Liam wanted to climb the tree.

Thus, two boys up in the tree.

My sweet boy actually stopped running and playing for 2 seconds and posed for this photo. A rare 2 seconds.

It was the perfect day to get out the jump house. Perfect temperature and very little wind makes for a great jump-fest for a couple hours.

Here's to a good night sleep.

Run Daddy Run

Nothing really beats chasing Daddy around the yard. Really, it is so much fun.

At least, for two little boys I know.

Ben and Liam have the best Daddy!

They love their Daddy!

And, he loves them, soooo much!

Run, Daddy Run.

More, Daddy. More!!! Pleeeeeaaaaaase, Daddy!

New shoes and a horsey ride

Is it still called a horsey even if it doesn't move?

The boys did get new shoes by Roc Soc. And, I loved them so much I bought a pair for myself! New shoes and a horsey ride, does it get any better?

You know who didn't want to get off the horsey.

Trip to the ER

Today we went to a Teddy Bear Clinic. Since the boys favorite "pets" aren't teddy bears, we took Rudolph and Melmo (that's Melmo on the left in red).

The clinic is designed to help preschoolers understand what happens if they are sick or injured and have to go to the ER. Here is Rudolph getting his initial work-up. It was determined that either Rudolph's nose was broken or he might have allergies (it was bright red during the exam).

Melmo was a bit nervous about getting checked out. Liam was very concerned and wanted to be on the table with Melmo.

Melmo came in the clinic with a boo boo on his knee. After a through check, they decided that he actually broke his leg.

So, off we went to x-ray. Rudolph was very brave.

So was Melmo.

Next, they took measurements. And, then sent us to surgery.

Everyone was prepped for the OR.

The gloves were especially cool.

Ready for surgery.

Ben was concerned that Rudolph might have to get stitches.

Turns out he just needed rhinoplasty.

Melmo made it through his surgery with no complications. He is on his way to recovery.

Rudolph will be good as new in no time.

Everyone is recovering at home and currently sleeping soundly.

The truth

These are the greatest and most precious earthly gifts I have ever been given.

They call me Mommy.

Eyes, Ebbie and Magpie

I was in another room and heard Liam calling for me. I couldn't make out what he was saying until I got in the room and saw him. Laying on his back, he had placed Cheerios on his eyes. He was saying, "Eyesssss, MOOOOMMMMM. See, eyeeeeesssss." And, he was laughing so hard at himself that they kept falling off.

My sister came over with Maggie this morning to help us learn to clean Ebbie's tank. Of course, the kids had a blast. Ben got to wash all the rocks with the sink sprayer. A very big job. The little kids were so excited to see the frog out of her "castle" flopping all over the tank, once it was clean.

Look closely and you can see Ebbie is looking right at Liam.

These two are so sweet together. We sure are going to miss our Magpie when they move.

Maggie spent the morning with me and Liam. We went for a ride in the adventure ship. We usually venture onto the university campus on the weekends, so it was a different experience today with so many students around. The kids waved and said hi to everyone we passed. I think they even made a few folks day, as we passed by.

It was definitely hot enough for a "hands only" dip in the fountain today.

We stopped for a snack and they could hardly drink their juice because they were so excited about the passing school bus and airplane.

I put the camera away for the afternoon so I could just enjoy hanging out with the boys. We had a great evening playing outside. There were lots of trips around the block on bikes. Races in the yard and "sword" fights. We didn't come inside until after the kids are usually in bed. That's saying a lot for this regimented mama.
