Trip to the ER

Today we went to a Teddy Bear Clinic. Since the boys favorite "pets" aren't teddy bears, we took Rudolph and Melmo (that's Melmo on the left in red).

The clinic is designed to help preschoolers understand what happens if they are sick or injured and have to go to the ER. Here is Rudolph getting his initial work-up. It was determined that either Rudolph's nose was broken or he might have allergies (it was bright red during the exam).

Melmo was a bit nervous about getting checked out. Liam was very concerned and wanted to be on the table with Melmo.

Melmo came in the clinic with a boo boo on his knee. After a through check, they decided that he actually broke his leg.

So, off we went to x-ray. Rudolph was very brave.

So was Melmo.

Next, they took measurements. And, then sent us to surgery.

Everyone was prepped for the OR.

The gloves were especially cool.

Ready for surgery.

Ben was concerned that Rudolph might have to get stitches.

Turns out he just needed rhinoplasty.

Melmo made it through his surgery with no complications. He is on his way to recovery.

Rudolph will be good as new in no time.

Everyone is recovering at home and currently sleeping soundly.
