Water, water and more water

It was a very Happy Mother's Day despite the fact that our hot water heater broke in the night and drained itself in three rooms of our house. Grammy and Poppy took care of the boys for the morning so Rob and I could pull the floor out. Once the situation was under control, we got the boys and headed to a local park. We were thinking playground. The boys were thinking sandy beach.


The water was surprisingly, not terribly cold.

Since we hadn't planned on going to the beach, there were no sand toys handy. My shoes were a good alternative to a shovel.

Or, a boat.

We went home for a "break" and decided that the beach was so much fun that we packed a beach bag, grabbed swimming suits and went back for the afternoon.

It was great fun the second time, too!
