Nice ride

All four of us went on a bike ride today and it was "awesome" (in Ben's words). We rode over to the university adjacent to our neighborhood. There is a large fountain that the boys like to run around. Liam rode in the "Adventure Ship" (those are Rob's words). He loves the adventure ship and can ride for long periods of time with no problem. He especially likes it when we go past tractors, dump trucks or any construction equipment.

Going around the fountain wall a few times is always a must. When it is really hot outside, we let them take their shoes off and dip their feet in the water. Once or twice, they jumped in before we could stop them. Oops.

Ben did great on the whole ride. He pushed his bike up the hills and never complained. I was really proud of him because he doesn't usually want to go that far on his bike. He actually kept riding while Liam played at the fountain.

Headed back home. Liam is still happy as a clam - riding behind Daddy and laughing every time Ben or I pass him.

Ben got really serious about finishing as we neared the end of our ride.

Liam took a long, slow drink in the shade once we got home.

Ben was right. It was awesome. I can't wait to do it again.
